Product: hp Deskjet D1520
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My hp Deskjet D1520 has a blinking power light. Plenty of paper and ink and no jam. What else causes this?

It might be the ink cartridges.

Open cover, remove one ink cartridge close cover if it stops to blink the removed cartridge is defective. If it is still blinking, return 1st cartridge and repeat for 2nd one if it stops the 2nd cartridge is defective.

That did it, Thanks a bunch. I had been using a brand new Black cartridge when this started, so I took out the color cartridge. Printer works fine.
