Hi @Donaaaaaasthrow ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Ink Tank 315 printer is only printing in pink and black, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Check Ink Levels: Make sure that all the color ink tanks have sufficient ink levels. Even if the ink levels appear to be enough, there might be an issue with the cartridges or the ink delivery system.

Clean Print Heads: Over time, print heads can become clogged with dried ink, affecting color output. Most printers have a utility to clean the print heads. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a print head cleaning.

Check Color Settings: Ensure that the color settings in the printing preferences or properties are correctly configured. Sometimes, the printer may be set to print in grayscale or black-and-white mode. Adjust the settings to enable color printing.

Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupt printer drivers can cause printing issues. Check the HP website for the latest drivers for your Ink Tank 315 model and install them.

Perform a Test Page: Print a test page from the printer itself. This can usually be done by pressing a specific button combination on the printer. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions. If the test page prints with all colors, the issue may be with the computer or software settings.

Try Different Software: Test printing from different applications or software to see if the issue is specific to one program. This can help determine whether the problem lies with the printer or the software you are using.

Inspect Cartridges: Check the color ink cartridges for any signs of damage or leaks. If a cartridge is damaged, it may not be delivering ink properly. Replace any damaged cartridges.

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance.

Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
