Hello,
I use a printer model: HP8720
On the "Scan to Computer" screen
I have 2 lines:
1. The current name of my computer that is working normally
2. In the second line is written: "Computer does not appear in the list"
How do I delete line number 2 from the touch screen ?
I do not need it because it does not work anyway,
And I only use line 1 which is indeed a scanner for my computer.
Thanks in advance

@JacobGanzfried Welcome to HP Community!
Please perform the below steps.
Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results. HP Printer A Click Scanner Actions, and then click Manage Scan to Computer.
Click Enable to activate the scan to the computer option.

Hey again.
I found the setting in the main software of the printer. (see the attached image)
i did what you suggested and its dont help at all.
the line 2 "The computer is not listed (with an alert sign)" Appears.
i also did full reset factory default setting to the printer, also don't help!
Any another idea how to fix the problem?
Thanks!

I understand your concerns.
Please perform the clean reinstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers
1. In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2. Select your HP Printer
3. Select Uninstall
4. In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5. In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6. Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8. Click on the “Drivers” tab
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10. Select Ok
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12. Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.
Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Have a nice day!!

Again,
Thank you so much for trying to help
But this is a particularly stubborn printer 🖨
I did what you wrote down
And yet it did not solve the problem!
I no longer have the patience to delete and reinstall the printer software and drivers over and over again.
Maybe in the future there will be an update to the printer that will solve the problem ...
In the meantime I will live with the problem in peace ...
In the meantime, a new problem has been added to my printer's touch screen.
Suddenly appears icon in the touch screen that says "Get the HP software"
Is the first icon on the main screen of the printer.
Is it possible to remove / delete it?
This printer has been playing games with me lately ...🙄

@JacobGanzfried You don't have to live with either of the issues, as what i'm about to suggest, should resolve both issues,
I suggest installing the HP Smart App, If you've already done that, then uninstall and reinstall that!
If the issue persists, create a TCP IP port
1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
This video resource will show you how to do it:
Let me know how that pans out,

I do not know whether to laugh or cry 🙄
But even your advice did not solve the problem!!
Extremely annoying and stubborn case
that i made all the possibilities to solve it
And yet the problem is not solved.
I think I will stay with this problem...
Or wait for a printer update that may come in the future ....

@JacobGanzfried I'm curious to know if the computer name you're trying to delete, is it on the printer screen?
let me know, as the fate of the solution, depends on it 😉
