I don't want to spend $75 for a CYAN cartridge. I have two full black cartridges and want to just print black and white from now on.  This error is new - and will NOT allow me to continue until I install a new cartridge.  I can buy a new Epsom with ink cartridges for $69 on sale !!  How do I get around this error?

As the printer may be damaged if some cartridges are empty, the system is designed to stop printing. The reason is that empty cartridges can cause air to be introduced into the printhead. Even if you are not printing in color, some color ink is used during printer maintenance. You will likely encounter the same issue with the $70.00 Epson when the color runs out on it. If you are only printing in black I suggest you purchase a monochrome laser printer as it is better suited to your application.
