I'd like to know how this was resolved since I'm having the same issue. This is for the 1112 model with a Mac.

The missing print head cleaning icon was never resolved after discussing this issue with several HP personal on this forum as well as a phone call from HP. Reinstalling their latest print driver did nothing. They seemed surprised that it wasn't there but they had no interest in investigating further such as getting a Mac in their shop and connecting it to the printer or to a Windows machine to see if it was a "Mac" issue. HP has a good reputation for their support so I was really surprised by their lack of interest is solving this issue. It would seem to be a rather simple thing for HP to solve.
