Hi all,
I recently installed a new black ink cartridge and the printer prompts me to align the new cartridge. However, the error message below is shown whenever I try to scan the alignment page. Did it fail because I have no colour cartridge? I rarely print in colour so I did not install one.
If it is due to the lack of colour, is there any chance I can download the alignment page to print it at a printing shop?
Another problem that I am facing is that after printing, the ink will smudge onto the table or my fingers. Is it a printer problem?

Try the HP support site here. Make sure all cartridges have ink.
