Hello,

 

I have moved from Middle East to France with my HP Deskjet 2050A and I have purchased HP 301 cartridges that are recommended by HP for this model in Europe (instead of the HP 122 that were available in the Middle East).

 

Unfortunately, I have a message saying my cartridges are incompatible.

I understand that the region of my HP Deskjet 2050A has to be a changed to accept the HP 301 cartridges that I purchased.

 

Could you please let me know the procedure to follow?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
