I have a HP Deskjet 2545 Printer bought about 3 years ago. The cartridge number stipulated was 650. As this is no longer available, I bought new compatible cartridge no 678. The printer doesn’t recognise or detect the cartridges. The orange lights blink. Have tried all solutions such as disconnecting power, cleaning the terminals, reloading the cartridge etc. But no results. Can someone advise as to how to solve this problem?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Have you moved to a different country along with a Printer? If the Printer was bought in a different country than the one you're currently residing in, a reset would need to be performed in order to use the Printer.
