Printer has Error code EE —  the Ink alert, Resume button and Information button lights are flashing. Error EE isn't shown on HP's online help. I have checked for a paper jam and have checked that the carriage is free. In fact I have been throughh all of the online help procedures. There are other mentions of the EE error on this series of printer, elsewhere on this forum but none of them seem to get resolved.

Hi @Dyrck,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a error code EE.

Try the below suggestions -

Reset the product

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Also, refer to - Blinking lights

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Jay, I had already done all of that and it didn't help.

As this is a hardware issue, I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region regarding service options for your printer.

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help, Jay but too late as I have already purchased a replacement. I'm a bit disappointed in HP as the printer is only two and a half years old and has been lightly used.

same issue here. going out to buy a replacement tomorrow myself as I've had nothing but trouble with this printer. only had it just over a year and the warranty only ran out at the end of August. I'll be sticking with canon I reckon!

Same things here. I did bought one new color cartridge and one new black cartridge. After printing a while with my new black cartridge, suddenly the EE error with three LED lights keeping blinking. I had checked any jam paper and nothing found. i did tried to install with new color cartridge, still get the same error. I tried used back the old black cartridge and i can print with no error. What the good printer like this? really really disappointed with this kind of performance. Worst is all cartridge are original bought from popular and challenger. Really lousy cartridge and lousy printer. wasting my time to troubleshooting.
