Hi,
I am trying to print some files but my black ink is not working. Both the printer and my laptop are showing that my blank ink levels are sufficient and I have tried taking it out and putting it back in. The next thing I am supposed to do is clean the printheads but when I go into my settings I don't see the utilities tab like I am supposed to. Can anyone please help me troubleshoot this further? My colored ink works perfectly.

Are you able to copy in black?
Align the ink cartridges
For the best print quality, align the ink cartridges.

After installing new ink cartridges, the printer automatically prints an alignment page.
-
Lift the scanner lid.
-
Place the alignment page with the print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the engraved guides around the glass.

Close the scanner lid.

Press the Start Copy Black button
or the Start Copy Color button
on the printer control panel.
The printer aligns the ink cartridges.
Since you can't find the cleaning cartridges option on your Computer, uninstall and reinstall the Printer software on your Computer.
You can download and install the software from here:
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
If you've a spare black cartridge, do try that if none of the above steps work.

Hi, thank you for responding!
I am not able to copy in black either. I ordered a new black ink cartridge so when that arrives I can try aligning the printer (it isn't aligning just by removing the old cartridge and replacing it). In the meantime I will try to install the software and see if that works.
