Deskjet 2630

I am using Deskjet 2630 at school so i cannot connect to the eduroam since it is a public wifi, i tried to connect my printer with the laptop by USB cable, the status showed "ready".  When i tried to print something, it showed "device busy" but the job never started and the power button keep flashing. The same problem happened even if i tried to use wifidirect to print.

Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there! @CCChel

Have you tried checking with a different USB cable?

Please try few steps recommended below.

The printer driver is crashing when trying to generate the print job - hence a complete job is not available to be sent to the (configured port of the) device.

A complete print job is generated, but there is a connection issue - a bad connection, or perhaps the credentials are wrong, and it is sent to another address (which may or may not exist).

A complete print job is generated and received by the printer, but (for some unknown reason) the printer does not recognize it as valid.

Rename the spool printer and driver files:

   1. Click Start type cmd and right-click cmd.exe, select Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.
   2. At the command prompt, type the following commands (press ENTER after each)
   3. Rename %systemroot%\System32\Spool\Printers Printers.old
   4. Rename %systemroot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86 w32x86.old
   5. Exit

Restart Print Spooler service:

To restart the Print Spooler service
You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.

1.    Open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type administrative tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
2.    Double-click Services.   If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.    Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Properties.
4.    On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
5.    If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Start, and then click OK.

If the issue still persists uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software. (Windows Only)

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Update the full feature printer software using this link. Click Here

Lastly, Try to restore the network settings to default settings.

●Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for three seconds

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂
