My deskjet 2632 will only print in black & white from multiple iOS devices. Running a print quality diagnostic prints colour correctly, but as soon as I preview a print (either directly or via the HP Smart app) B&W is the only option. Happens on iPhone and iPad.

Hi @MattOnDartmoor,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be a setting or configuration issue causing your HP Deskjet 2632 to only print in black and white from your iOS devices. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check Printer Settings in HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Select your printer.
- Go to "Print" and then "Print Settings."
- Ensure that "Color" is selected instead of "Black & White."
Check Printer Settings on iOS Devices:
- When you are in the print preview screen on your iPhone or iPad, tap on "Options."
- Make sure "Black & White" is not selected. Choose "Color" if the option is available.
Update HP Smart App:
- Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your devices.
- Go to the App Store and check for updates for the HP Smart app.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support website.
Reset Print Settings:
- Sometimes resetting the print settings on your iOS device can resolve issues:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to "General" > "Reset."
- Select "Reset All Settings" (this will not delete your data, but it will reset system settings like Wi-Fi passwords and printer settings).
- After the reset, reconnect to your printer and try printing again.
Reinstall Printer on iOS Devices:
- Remove the printer from your iOS device and then add it again:
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to "Bluetooth" and make sure it is turned on.
- Go to "Wi-Fi" and ensure you are connected to the same network as your printer.
- Open the HP Smart app, remove the printer, and then add it again by following the on-screen instructions.
Test Printing from a Different App:
- Try printing from a different app to see if the issue persists. For example, print a photo from the Photos app or a document from the Files app.
Factory Reset the Printer:
- As a last resort, you can try a factory reset on the printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Hold down the "Cancel" button and the "Wireless" button together, then turn the printer back on.
- Keep holding the buttons until the printer starts resetting.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
