I had this problem previously with a similar 2600 series printer. I couldn't figure it out so I junked the printer and bought another one. The printer has been working fine until now. When I print something, the printer engages and seems prints out the page or pages. So what is the problem? Well, in spite of sounds the printer normally makes the page(s) come out completely blank. The ink levels are okay. I can still scan. I haven't tried copying. So I'm unsure what is going on. I'm not sure if it's related but this seems to have started after the last automatic printer update.

 

Any ideas?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Are you using a HP Deskjet D2680 Printer?

 

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Make sure you have the latest software updates installed on the MAC

Print a print quality diagnostic report

  1. Press and hold the Power button () on the product control panel.

  2. Press the Resume button () three times.

  3. Release both buttons. The print quality diagnostic report prints.

If the printer is able to make copies and print the diagnostics page, this could be a possible software issue.

Hello Kumar. Both the copy and diagnostic page came out blank. Like I said, it seems to be printing but there is no printer output. I checked the software update and it appears everything is up to date.

 

What now?

@clenny, I'm afraid this could be a possible hardware issue with the ink cartridges or the printer.

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
