I have deskjet 2755e that is in an error state and won’t print. I have reset it and turned it off multiple times. The print cartridges are full and new. The eye light is flashing. The power button is flashing. Everything on the control panel is flashing. I am connected to Wi-Fi. I can print a test page, but it doesn’t print well

@LMSN, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like your DeskJet 2755e is experiencing some issues. The flashing lights typically indicate that something is wrong, and it could be related to a few different things. Let’s try a couple of steps to get it back on track:
Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Wait for 60 seconds and connect the power cord back in.
- Turn on the printer.
Check for Paper Jams: Even if you can print a test page, there might be a small paper jam or obstruction that’s causing the error state. Carefully inspect the paper path and remove any paper if found.
Printer Queue: Sometimes print jobs can get stuck in the queue and cause issues. Go to your computer's printer settings, cancel all print jobs, and try printing again.
Update Printer Drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. An outdated driver can sometimes cause printing issues, even with new cartridges.
Wi-Fi Connection: Since you're connected to Wi-Fi, check that the printer is properly communicating with your network. You can try reconnecting it to Wi-Fi via the control panel or the HP Smart app.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
