After I had to change the Comcast modem and get new SSID/password for our cable, I can no longer get my printer to function wirelessly. It will usually print with the USB cable.
I've read the previous messages and responses. I've already tried most all of the fixes I've read. I've shut everything down and unplugged a few times. I have reinstalled the driver & rebooted.
During the wireless connected process it will ask me to plug printer to computer via USB. Sometimes when I do that there is no response from USB....it's as if the USB ports are not active. But after a reboot it works again. Still, I am unable to get the printer connected wirelessly.
When I push the Wifi status button it says "Not Connected". SSID: N/A...etc. I've even restored the printer settings to FACTORY DEFAULT.
Please, can anyone help me?

The easiest way to connect the DeskJet 3510 printer to the network is using a temporary USB cable. That is, first install the printer using the USB cable and then convert the USB connected printer to a wireless printer. Follow the steps below:
First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
Restart your computer.
Now click on this link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL43618/al-108718-4/DJ3510_1315-1.exe to download and install the software
Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Hello Jeet Singh - I am very grateful for your help. I have successfully completed all the steps and finally goty the WIreless set up. Your instructions were very helpful! It resolved other minor problems I was having as well.
I had to call Comcast for the IP and Gateway address info to connect wirelessly because it wasn't automatically accessing the info like it was supposed to. I tried to enter the info manually, but that wasn't working either. Comcast said it was because I have Dual Band modem and she had to make some kind of change with the HomeGroup Network name.
Thank you so very much for all your help!
