Deskjet 3511 will not connect to new router. Printer will connect to old router, it will work with a USB cable. Tried uninstalling software/driver, rebooting and running (manual) setup again. WIll not connect. Using WPS button on router doesn't work either. Adtran SDG 834-v6 router, WIndows 11.

First try this solution here: Wi-Fi connection is lost after router or network settings change
You may then need to install this software: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/swdetails/hp-deskjet-3510-e-all-in-one-printer-series/model/524...
I hope I could help.
Kind Regards

Did you try
Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3967769-3956733-16
?

Pressing both buttons did not result in the power button blinking, it did not seem to make a difference, still can't connect.
With WPS, the router seems to be passing WPS traffic, the printer stops with the message "Error...progress stoppped".
Thanks again!

Read the user manual:
A) Restore network settings to default settings.
B) Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS – requires WPS router)
If you don't have a WPS router, it won't work!

Andr-1611,
I unplugged the USB cable to the printer, powered off the old router, restored the printer to the default settings and tried the WPS (2 mbps). It appears that the WPS config starts and then gets an error. If I had to guess the router is timing out before the printer is finished. I'll give up trying to get it to work.
"Wireless direct" works but the computer can either connect to the printer or the router, not both at the same time.
Well, I'm planning on getting a new router instead of renting this one. The printer works with a USB cable. If I want to print something from a different device I'll use "sneaker net" (put the file on a USB stick and walk it over the the PC with the cable). The software for the printer mentions Windows 8, it's old and the printer is still working.
Thanks for your help and have a great New Year!
Regards,
Mr Pete P
