Microsoft Windows 11

HI,

I just got a new 302 Black cartridge and put in.  I have not replaced the colour cartridge and the space for it is not used.  The tiny "ink alert" orange light keep flashing and 2 empty columns are showing in small led screen.  is there way to fix this or is it broken?

Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing cartridge issues with your HP DeskJet 3630 All in One Printer after replacing only black cartridge.

Please remove the tri-color cartridge and print with only the black cartridge installed as this printer prints in single cartridge mode.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi thanks for your reply but this hasn't worked in the bottom right corner of the LED discreen there are two empty columns flashing which seems to indicate empty ink cartridges the printer does not seem to recognise that there is a new black ink cartridge installed and is not printing
