Hello,
I have purchased a HP Deskjet 3632 All-In-One and have set it up on my laptop and phone. Scanning a document was fine and printing it was ok, however documents will not print using black ink. The first print is more of a grey and it seems like the colour ink is the only one being used. when printing word documents, none of the black ink is printing and only a small amount printed on the first test page, where none of the letters are legible at all. The cartridges used are new and from the same box as the printer. I have followed the suggested fixes to no avail, bar buying a new cartridge which I am hesitant to do as money is tight. Is there a fix that can be done or will I have to resort to buying a new cartridge?

I wasn't sure what you have already tried. I would suggest cleaning the cartridge contacts manually, if you haven't already: Ink Cartridge Errors. Disregard the title.

I just put in a new black 302XL cartridge (the second of two I bought a few months ago) into my Deskjet 3637 and it would not print on the black. I followed the instructions on this website for cleaning the contacts on the cartridge and in the machine and it still does not work... It makes all the right printing noises and on the little screen it says the black is full but it simply won't print. I really need this to work today.
