I recently bought a DeskJet 3750. I just want it to print a document - that's it! But it won't work.

I have tried via the HP Smart App. It says the printer is ready and connected to the internet (it is not asleep). I go to 'Print Documents', I select a document to print, choose HP Smart Printing as the printer (I have also tried by selecting HP Deskjet 3700 series as the printer), then I go to 'Print', then it takes a long time to think and 'Select a printer from the list below as you HP Smart Printing preferred printer'. It doesn't find the printer.

So, I try directly from the page to be printed (either PDF file or document) same happens as mentioned above.

Nothing is blinking, there's paper, I still have full ink cartridges, it's plugged in, the Internet is working. I have tried turning the printer on and off a couple of times. I have unplugged the thing. I have uninstalled the printer and installed it again. I have deleted everything and started all over. I can't find it through my IP address either (then it says that no printers are listed). Nor adding a name. Nothing works. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do? Absolutely frustrating!

Hi Dragon-Fur!

Thanks for your quick reply and thorough explanation(s). I see you clearly know the printer well. 🙂

Unfortunately, I have tried all the options you've mentioned (several times) but without any luck. Maybe I just bought a defected printer? Any other last-resort ideas?

Cheers!
