Hi all!
I saw similar questions asked, but the answer is always in private message, so here is mine. My customer bought a Deskjet InkAdvantage 4535 and somehow (he swears he doesn't know what he did) managed to enter MFG mode. I tried power cycling trick more than 20 times, but it still brings up MFG mode when power cord is inserted. If I press the Power button, it exits and goes to Main menu, and on Shut Down it powers off then immediatelly powers back on and re-enters MFG mode. I wish to solve this asap, as sending the printer to HP takes time.

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.
I understand that you're working on an HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535 All-in-One Printer and it brings up the MFG mode when you power it on. You have power cycled the printer a couple of times and issue persists. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help.
I would like to mention that most of out interactions take place on this public platform. But there are certain confidential troubleshooting steps that we can exchange in private only. I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset your printer. Please try to reset the printer and hope the printer returns to it's normal working condition.
Let me know. Cheers! 🙂

@Mkazi
Awesome job, you're the best. Once I was able to enter MFG mode, it was easy enough to notice that the printer was set to run in MFG mode and not user mode. My customer now has a fully working printer. Again, thank you for the save.
Also, I encourage anyone with similar MFG problem to write to the forum, as the solution is simple and one avoids sending the printer back to the store/dealer/distributer. In my case, when I called the main HP support in my country (Slovenia), they simply said to send the printer back, as they won't reveal the solution over the telephone.
