getting above error Deskjet Plus 4100 series [OB1818] "driver is unavailable" cannot seem to fix

Here's how to resolve the "Driver is unavailable" error for your HP DeskJet Plus 4100 series [OB1818] printer on Windows 11:

 

Uninstall Existing Printer Drivers

  • Press Windows + S, type "Add or remove programs", and open it.
  • Look for any HP printer software (especially related to DeskJet Plus 4100).
  • Click Uninstall and follow the prompts.
  • Also remove the printer from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

Restart Your PC and Printer

  • Turn off your printer and restart your computer.
  • Turn the printer back on after the PC restarts.

Download and Install the Latest Drivers

Use HP Smart App (Optional but Recommended)

  • Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  • Open the app and follow the prompts to add your printer.
  • This app helps manage printing, scanning, and troubleshooting.
