Replaced the cartridges and still getting the E0 error. I can reset the printer and print one page just fine before the error returns. HP products are absolute garbage...... Just like the company

Hi @NeverAgain27

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a frustrating experience with your HP DeskJet 2743e. The E0 error usually indicates an issue with the ink cartridges or the print mechanism. Since you've replaced the cartridges and are still encountering the error, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Ensure Cartridges are Installed Correctly:

  • Double-check that the cartridges are seated properly and that there’s no protective tape left on them.

2. Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the copper contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure they are free of dust or residue.

3. Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware. You can check for updates using the HP Smart app or the HP website.

4. Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for about 60 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on.

5. Inspect for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or foreign objects that may be obstructing the print head.

6. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to help diagnose and fix common printing issues.

7. Try a Different Cartridge:

  • If you have access to another color cartridge, try using that one to see if the error persists.

8. Check for Internal Hardware Issues:

  • If the error continues, there might be a hardware issue with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
