HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-In-One
My printer's screen will not work. The printer powers up and I can hear the printer mechanisms move when started but the screen is solid white. The home button and the back button light up. Any suggestions?

Hi @rclark79,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting a blank white display on your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer typically indicates a problem with the printer's firmware, a hardware malfunction, or a display connection issue.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
1. Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Disconnect the printer's power cord from the electrical outlet and from the printer.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and then to the electrical outlet.
- Turn the printer back on and check if the display screen shows up properly.
2. Update Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
If the screen works after the reset, check for firmware updates:
- Open the HP Smart app or go to the HP website on your computer.
- Look for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
- If available, follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.
3. Check Display Connections:
If the screen remains blank, the internal connections might be loose:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- If you’re comfortable, gently open the printer to access the internal components (refer to the user manual for guidance).
- Check if the display ribbon cable is securely connected to the motherboard of the printer. If it’s loose, carefully reattach it.
4. Perform a Semi-Full Reset:
Performing a semi-full reset can help reset printer settings to factory defaults:
- Turn on the printer.
- While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer.
- Turn on the printer and see if the screen responds.
