I cannot get my all-in-one printer to print despite updating the drivers and software, uninstalling and reinstalling the HP software and uninstalling and reinstalling the applications for which I want to print. Everything on the printer checks out; I can print an internal page and the HP Support Assistant says the printer is ready to work. I'm using a wireless connection which also seems to check out okay. Only the printer does not print. Should I try using a wired connection linking the computer and printer or has the time come to retire this good machine which has served me well for years?

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity
Download a special version of HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
-
Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
-
If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on and then click Retry.
-
If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
-
If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.
-
If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.
-
Try to print.
Delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8600-e-all-in-one-printer-series-n... to download and install the Full Feature Software and Driver.

Thank you for taking the time to offer a solution to my issue. I tried what you recommended, but in the end determined the problem was with Windows rather than the printer or HP. When I reset Windows 10, the problem went away. Thank you again.
