The document stays in the print queue for several minutes after printing is complete. This only occurs with wireless (WiFi) printing. The queue clears promptly when printing over a USB connection . It took 4 minutes after the printing completed for the document to be removed from the queue. In the meantime, other documents would not print. This issue occurs on 2 printers associated with different computers including laptop and desktop. One 5055 get print jobs from both a desktop and a laptop. The other 5055 gets print jobs only from a laptop. The Envy 5055 replaced an Envy 4500 that did NOT have this issue, i.e. the 4500 print queue was cleared promptly after printing.
PRODUCT INFO

- How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Check for the IP address of the printer and restart the spooler service on your PC. Refer to step 1 mentioned in this document.
Let me know how this goes.

I perform ALL suggested procedures and the issue REMAINS. FYI, I had done all you suggestions initially prior to receiving them and AGAIN after receiving your suggestions.
ANSWERS to your ?:
* Printer is within 5 feet of router
* Printer and computers are connected to same router
* network connection is 2.4GHz
Let me restate the issue. Documents stay in print queue for 4 minutes after printing is complete. This occurs for ALL print jobs over wireless connection. The ENVY 5055 replaced an ENVY 4500. The 4500 did NOT have this issue. ALL ENVY 4500 software and drivers were removed from the system. This occurs on 2 different ENVY 5055 with printing initiated from 3 different computers. 2 computers to 1 ENVY 5055 and 1 computer to the other. The ENVY 5055 are in separate residences. The ISSUE only occur for wireless printing. Printing over a USB connection is normal; that is, print queue clears promptly after printing. Have loaded and reloaded the ENVY 5055 software and drivers with NO resolution for this issue. To me, it appears to be a driver issue. Please provide SOLUTION for this ISSUE. Thank you

Thank you for the detailed response.
Assigning a static IP address to the printer may resolve this issue.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
- Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
- Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
- You may watch this video for better understanding.
- Try printing. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Install the printer using Windows built-in drivers.
Refer to this document to know how.
