Product: Envy 4520
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

One of the reasons I bought this printer was to use the double sided feature but it's stopped working completely. 

 

I've tried the solutions here:

and

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8710-all-in-one-printer-series/7902014/model/7...

 

but nothing has worked. I've also tried the following:

- removed the cartridges and reinstalled them

- factory reset the printer

- cleaned the cartridges

- realigned the printer

- removed and reset the printer from within settings

- used ' secure airprint' and 'airprint'

- tried printing different types of documents (pdfs, pngs and docs)

- used different macs on the same connection

- installed EasySmart 

 

Nothing has worked. 

 

Appreciate any advice!

My printer just did an update and it looks like the double sided is working now. How strange!

I just went to print double sided and it's stopped working again. Tried all of the solutions I can find and there are no updates. Can anyone help?
