HP OfficeJet Pro 8022 All-in-One Printer

For the last 2 weeks I have had the following message appear on my printer screen- 'download unsuccessful. The printer update could not be downloaded. Touch retry to start the download again. Touch okay to exit.'

This message appears 2 to 3 times a day and stops all printing until I press okay. I have tried the retry but just hangs and goes no where. 

There are 2 desktops linked wirelessly to the printer. I have turned the printer off, I have gone into Smart to cancel all updates but the message keeps coming back. It appears to be a firmware update that won't update. I have tried to download it from HP web site but still failed. 

I have turned the printer off, uninstalled it but the message comes back.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank for for replying. However further issues occurred and in the end I had to purchase a new printer.
