Dear Friends,
Hope all is safe and well...
I have an older *HP deskjet 3520 **C8994A **S/N [edited] PRINTER. **This information is off the bottom of the printer and the *lid.
Wondering if there is a driver and software update for this printer? THIS NOT THE HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One Printer(see attachment for correct picture and model.
So far I have not been able to get it to print one drop of color picture. I have done all the tests and all the settings are correct according to the instructions.
Perhaps the Tri-color cartridge is bad or dried out?!?
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank YOU!
Sincerely, Raphael

Hi,
An alternate driver (Deskjet 3600) is available for your printer, which can be installed by following below steps:
https://support.hp.com/th-en/document/c01796821
Additionally, try printing an internal report, if I recall correctly you should open and close the cartridge access door 4 times to print a report. if it doesn't work also try opening and closing the door quickly while holding the power button presses.

Thank You very much for your reply.
I have a problem at this moment as I do not have a #28 Tri-color cartridge yet that I have full confidence in.
As stated it has always printed in the past when I replaced the cartridge(s) but the cartridge was of Unknown quality. I suspected it could be a Software/Driver update. How likely is that so that it would not print in color, but only in black?
Whats more likely? a( bad cartridge or b) software/driver issues?
Sincerely, Raphael
😉
