After a very recent automatic update My 8715 printer won't work with 3rd party ink cartridges. Have been using LD ink in this printer for almost 2 years now with No problems Whatsoever. now I get a message Cartridge problem remove and reinstall indicated cartridge.... Tried several times with 7 NEW cartridges, only the ones that were in the machine BEFORE thre update work. several sources INCLUDING LD ink have confirmed that it is the update. Is there a workaround or way to get RID of the Dynamic Security feature? How Can HP do this AGAIN after having faced a class action lawsuit for this once before? The balony of voiding the warranty MEANS NOTHING Since This Printer is OUT OF WARRANTY! The magnuson moss act protects the consumer from being FORCED to buy supplies in this manner. I am NOT interested in any ink program from HP.

Welcome to HP support community.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
Cheers.

Sandy,
Could you please post an answer on this thread so the rest of us who are looking for the solution can get an idea how to fix? Re: "Is there a workaround or way to get RID of the Dynamic Security feature?" Despite HP posting the article, "Dynamic Security Feature Affecting Cartridges Using Non-HP Security Chip" and stating that firmware is available, it is in fact not the case, (when I searched for firmware update on the website (under "Software and Drivers), it was not listed under the HP Officejet Pro X576dw Multifunction Printer for both MacOS or Windows).
Thanks!
Darryl

I also installed an expensive new black ink HP XL cartridge in my HP Envy Photo 7855 printer, ordered from HP, and keep getting the error message. I have done all the steps recommended (cleaning, turning on and off, etc.) and can't get it to print. I checked for updates and it says there are none, so the issue can't be that Dynamic Security chip.
