Mfp 234dw

Ever since I had to reset the printer because of a networking error, I am not able to print. I was only able to print reports. After another reset the printer does not recognize the toner anymore. It displays an E 11 error, despite an original HP toner. I have 2 of them and none of them work. What should I do? I can't even do a scan [content removed]

Hi @Romanmoga1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating issues with your HP MFP LaserJet 234dw printer. Let's troubleshoot this step by step.

  • Check Toner Installation: Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed. Sometimes a slight misalignment can cause the printer to not recognize the toner.
  • Reset Printer Again: Try performing another reset on the printer. Sometimes, multiple resets can help resolve underlying issues.
  • Update Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues with toner cartridges.
  • Clean Contacts: Turn off the printer and carefully clean the electrical contacts on both the toner cartridge and inside the printer. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe away any dust or debris that may be interfering with the connection.

By following these steps, hopefully, you'll be able to resolve the issue and get your printer back up and running again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I tried all the steps multiple times. And nothing seems to be working. My impression is that the toner is paired with the printer, and because of the reset, it doesn't recognize the toner anymore. And my toner is half full.
