The E3 error on HP ENVY 6055 indicates a carriage jam. Here are step-by-step instructions to resolve this issue:
Check for Paper Jams:
- Turn on your printer.
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Carefully check for any paper jams or debris inside the printer. Remove any found obstructions gently.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
Reset the Printer:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed in their respective slots.
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Ensure the cartridges are properly seated. If not, remove and then reseat them firmly in their slots.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
Move the Carriage Manually:
- With the printer turned on, open the ink cartridge access door.
- Gently move the carriage to the left and then to the right to ensure it moves freely.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
