I'm getting E 3 error and the power button is continuously blinking. I have tried the solutions provided in the manual but it didn't work. The printhead is connected properly. Can you please assist me to fix this problem?

Hi @Ravi301,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
An E3 error on an HP printer usually indicates a carriage jam. Given that you've already checked the printhead connection, here are some additional steps you can try.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Open the access door and look for any paper jams or obstructions in the carriage path. Remove any paper or debris found.
- Check the paper feed area and ensure there are no jammed pieces of paper.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Ensure Carriage Movement:
- With the printer off, open the access door and gently move the printhead carriage to see if it moves freely. It should move without any resistance.
- If the carriage does not move freely, look for and remove any obstructions.
Reinstall the Printhead and Cartridges:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Open the access door, remove the printhead and cartridges, and then reinstall them properly.
Check for Software Issues:
- Make sure your printer firmware is up to date.
- Uninstall and reinstall the printer software on your computer.
Clean the Printhead and Cartridges:
- If the printhead or cartridges are dirty, clean them using a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
