Hi @Lexi341,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The E6 error on the HP ENVY 6055e typically indicates a hardware failure, often related to the ink system or printhead. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check for Obstructions: Open the printer and ensure there are no paper jams or foreign objects obstructing the printhead or paper path.
- Inspect Ink Cartridges: Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges. Make sure they are properly seated and not damaged.
- Clean the Printhead: If your printer has a printhead cleaning function, run it from the printer’s control panel or software. Alternatively, manually clean the printhead and ink cartridges with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Reset Printer: Perform a full reset of the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and power it on.
- Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer and install it if necessary.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
