@GOINDA, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The E7 error on HP Smart Tank printers typically indicates a low ink or out of ink.
Try the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Power Reset the Printer
- With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Also unplug it from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 2–3 minutes.
- Press and hold the Power button on the printer for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
- Reconnect the power to the printer and turn it on.
2. Check Ink Levels Visually
- Open the ink tank lid and verify that all tanks are filled to the correct level.
- If the black ink tank is full but still shows an error, proceed to the next step.
3. Clean the Ink Sensor
- Open the ink tank area and gently clean around the ink sensor using a lint-free cloth.
- Look for any dried ink or dust that might be blocking the sensor.
4. Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and enter your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware for your printer.
- Alternatively, you can update via the HP Smart App.
5. Perform a Test Print
- After restarting and updating, try printing a test page to check if the error persists.
