HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer

So this is super annoying.  My printer all of sudden went offline.  When I tried to set it up again, I keep getting an error code EBS00P0004.  When I looked it up it says HP needs to send me specific iunstructions to reset my printer settings.  When I try to contact cutomer service, they say I cannot because my warranty just expired.  Wow what a helpful company.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting an EBS00P0004 error, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I had the same problem this fixed it:

I understand you are getting an error message EBS00P0004 on your HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

Let's perform a power drain: 

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware 

 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
