Hi @Arena-2010,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’re seeing an “EE” error on your HP printer. This error is generally related to an internal initialization or hardware issue, often involving the ink system or carriage mechanism. Let’s go through a few steps to try to resolve it:

1. Perform a Full Power Reset

  • Turn OFF the printer
  • Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and the wall outlet
  • Wait for about 3–5 minutes
  • Plug the power cable directly into a wall outlet
  • Turn the printer back ON

2. Check Inside the Printer

  • Open the cartridge access door
  • Ensure the carriage moves freely from left to right
  • Look for:
    • Any stuck paper or debris
    • Packaging material (if recently installed)

3. Reseat Cartridges

  • Remove all cartridges
  • Reinsert them firmly into their slots
  • Make sure no protective tape is left on the cartridges

4. Check for Obstructions

  • Use a flashlight to inspect inside the printer
  • Even small debris can trigger this error

5. Try Resetting the Printer (if accessible)

  • If your printer menu is available, try restoring defaults from settings

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
