Envy 5032

I am helping a friend set up her new ENVY5032 printer.

She has broadband supplied by Sky via a SkyQ hub.

The connection between printer and router can be readily made using WPS.

After printing one document from a Windows 10 based laptop, the printer drops the WiFi connection (blue light flashes). It also dropped the connection part way through trying to update the printer software. The printer also fails to reconnect after powering off/on.

I brought the printer back home and connected it, again using WPS, to my BT broadband (BTHub6). It retains the connection quite happily for software update and printing and for multiple power off/on.

Any suggestions? Are there any particular printer settings I should be aware of? Printer or hub problem? (I have done a "factory reset" on the SkyQ hub.)

The problem has been resolved by replacing the SkyQ broadband router. The HP printer was performing as it should.

@KentW1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is doesn’t maintain the wireless connection.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend connect the printer wirelessly instead to WPS and check.

Follow the steps in the below article to setup the printer wirelessly.
