ENVY 5535 Print Preferences have a locked symbol next to each

Just installed an ENVY 5535 and when I try to print and go to print preferences there is a lock symbol next to each , i.e.

boarderless photo printing, general every day, etc.  How do I remove the locks or open them?  I tried calling support, but got a bad phone connection and a person that was difficult to understand.  She suggested I call back at another time after trying to uninstall and re-install software, which I have done to no avail.

Are you talking about the following locks ?

           

They are defaults you can simply select one of them (no need to unlock) to print. You can also create your own if you wish.

Yes those are the locks. Okay, so I will live with them, but I don't understand why they can't be removed or unlocked. They must have a purpose!

Hi,

As mentioned above, they are defaults or I can say preset templates. I think they are designed for users just need to get the right prints. For support, HP may need them when takling with user on the phone line.

Hi - all the printing preference icons are 'locked'. It will not allow me to click onto any to 'unlock'.  Please advise?

I can get it to only print color if I am hooked up thru the cable.  If I try to print wireless, then it won't print color and doesn't give me the ability to choose the color option in any of the print setting from the available resources, those buttons are not there.  Is this related to the lock symbol or a different issue.
