Hi,
Very recently my ENVY 5540 stopped printing.
It is connected to the same wifi network my laptop is connected to.
I get an error message that says - failed to print, printer is offline.
I have tried the following:
- Rebooting wifi rooter
- Rebooting laptop
- Rebooting printer
- Re-installing printer
- Updating printer software (by wifi, using option on printer control panel)
- All of the above in every possible combination
- Downloaded and ran HP Print & Scan Doctor
- Followed the instructions here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04249080
- Been through the message boards to find a solution
- Installed all Windows 10 updates available
If anyone at HP can help I would really appreciate it.
If you can help, can you please provide clear, detailed instructions. I am not tech savvy and don't fully understand jargon and terms used in other posts. Clear instructions step by step would be appreciated. Also, the printer is at home so I will only be able to test when I get home from work, meaning that if I can't follow the instructions I will need to wait another 24 hours before I can try again.
Many thanks,
Neil
