Hi @Ashton83,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The E6 error on your HP ENVY 6000 All-in-One printer typically indicates a carriage jam or a problem with the carriage assembly. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

Check for Paper Jams

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the printer door and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the carriage path.
  3. Remove any jammed paper or foreign objects you find.
  4. Close the printer door and plug the printer back in.

Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  2. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Check the Carriage Path

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the printer door and gently move the carriage (the part that holds the ink cartridges) to see if it moves freely.
  3. Remove any obstructions in the carriage path.
  4. Close the printer door and plug the printer back in.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the printer door and remove the ink cartridges.
  3. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and in the carriage.
  4. Reinstall the ink cartridges, close the printer door, and plug the printer back in.

Update the Printer Firmware

  1. Ensure the printer is connected to the internet.
  2. Go to the printer's control panel and check for firmware updates.
  3. Update the firmware if there are any available.

Perform a Factory Reset

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold down the cancel and resume buttons while turning the printer back on.
  3. Release the buttons when the printer begins to reset.

If none of these steps resolve the E6 error, there may be a more serious hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Unfortunately these steps cannot fix the E6 error.

I am in same situation. Mine started 2 weeks ago and unable to clear the error. So frustrating!

And it's so hard to get one professional support. The support phone is not easy to call in.

Anyone resolve this?  I'm having same issue all of a sudden and have tried everything that's been suggested by HP.
