I am trying to print pn photo paper but after the initial feed - the paper scrolling simply stops and the printer head continues to move as if printing. I have the latest firmware on the printer, I am using genuine ink and HP photo paper. I also am an Instant Ink customer. I have tried cleaning the paper path through HP software - but nothing is working. If I load plain paper - that prints without a problem. Please help.

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Power resetting the printer and then performing an automated/manual cleaning may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:
1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector
2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door
3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)
4) Clean the ink cartridges, refer to step 4 from this document.
5) Plug the power cord back into the printer
6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
7) On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setupicon.
😎 Swipe up on the display, touch Printer Maintenance, and then touch Clean Smear.
9) On the control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setupicon.
10) Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
11) Touch Clean Cartridges, and then touch Continue. Touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. Repeat these steps for the third cleaning stage.
