HP ENVY 4500 SERIES

MY PRINTER HAS ERROR CODE OX83C0000A. I'VE TRIED UNPLUGGING IT AND PLUGGING IT BACK IN, AND THE ERROR CODE COMES BACK. THE PRINTER IS OUT OF WARRANTY - IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO FIX IT? THANKS!

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

 

Let's try a power reset on the printer

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Thanks for replying. The unplugging, waiting, and replugging in does not work, and I get the same error message. I've tried going onto the HP website to get a firmware update for the Envy 4500 printer, but it leads me to a page that says, 'We're sorry. We can't seem to find the page you are looking for.'. Does this mean that there is no update available? Any other suggestions, or is the printer dead do you think?
