HP Envy 4500
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I've printed many labels using Avery products and templates with this HP Envy 4500 printer.  Suddenly, a label I created for use on Avery 22805  and am printing from a PDF version will print perfectly on regular paper but, when I slip in the actual label sheet, it spits out with no print on it, just some black ink marks on the edge of the sheet.  It's behavior -- what I hear and the speed at which the sheet goes through the print is the same for the label sheet and regular paper so it doesn't seem to be a feed problem and yet the back edge of the Avery sheet has ink on it as if it got stuck long enough to collect the ink in that small area.

I've tried changing paper settings on the HP online to "brochure matte" and I've tried "Specialty" but neither change results.

@ChezGLK, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This could be an application issue. Try updating/reinstalling the PDF application you are using to print.

Are you able to print fine on regular paper? or from different applications like word?
