Cannot print color word document and powerpoint, follow the steps as below - but cannot find grayscale option under "Document optins" in "advanced": 

 

using windows 10

right click start choose control panel

in control panel choose devices and printers

right click the printer in question choose printer preferences

click paper/quality tab

click advanced

another little windows appears click plus sign next to Document options turn grayscale off

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are having issues printing in color.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

 

Meanwhile, follow the below steps and check if it helps.

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

 

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

15.) Connect the USB cable ONLY when prompted and follow the on screen instructions.

Hi Fossette,

Thanks a lot!  The issue solved and I now can see the color option for printing.

However I now have another problem - my Service Pro now is not able to connect to the printer in wireless way.  I tried go through the driver installation process and setup the printer but cannot find the printer on the wifi network.

I've restarted a couple times but same issue happened...

Could you please help?

My envy4520 shows the same problem. It has been working fine since I bought it last year but today, printing color won't work. Just black and white. I followed your steps to uninstall the program and driver. Reboot and reinstall tge latest driver. Still no luck. 

 

Tried from words and chrome. Same.

 

Scan/copy can printer color no problem.  Firmware is also up to date.

 

Please help.
