I recently installed a new 304XL Tri-colour cartridge in my printer. Yesterday (after a couple of weeks or so of not using the printer) it is reporting "Cartridge Problem" and advising to remove and re-insert the cartridge. I have done this but get the same error. This is a virtually unused cartridge so I don't expect to have to replace it so soon.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the cartridge error.

 

Please try these steps - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
