Envy 5055 Printer will not print from PC. I have Windows 10 Home. The error I receive is simply "Error - Printing". I have tried running the HP Print and Scan Doctor several times. In the doctor tool I click START > (select my printer) NEXT > Fix Printing > Test Print and everything turns up green. I get a message that says "The printer should have printed out a test-print for evaluation. If the printer did not print out the test-print click "No Print".... etc." I also get a popup error from the print queue saying "Printing Error".... Next, I click "No Print" > Test Print (it asks "Did the internal test page print successfully?") I click No > It gives me 4 steps to unplug/replug... etc., then Test Print and I get a message the "Printer is in an error state". Restarting both the printer any my PC do not fix the problem. Please help!

To narrow down between a possible software/driver issue and a hardware issue with the printer, disconnect the printer from the computer and then restart the printer leaving it disconnected from your computer.
Then follow the instructions here to print a status page. If that page works, there is a good chance your printer is ok but either the software or driver is corrupted and you should uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

Hi Repairatrooper, thanks for trying to help on this one. What do you mean by disconnecting the printer from the computer? Both are operating on wifi so not sure how to disconnect them. If you could please clarify that'd be wonderful.
I printed the test page with no problem so sounds like it must be either software or a drive, both of which I have absolutely no clue how they work. I'll look around on the website on how to do those now.
