I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS THE PERSONS PROBLEM BELOW!!!! I NEED ASSISTANCE AND NO HP REP HAS ANSWERED THE CUSTOMERS PROBLEM FROM 2023 BELOW. SO I AM PASTING THEIR COMMENT AS I AM HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE!!!!   

 

I added paper to the printer and after closing the paper tray, the amber light on the side will not go out, and the printer status says "Tray is open" and it is not.  I've tried every ridiculous suggestion in these forums including standing on one foot with my right index finger on my nose while simultaneously unplugging the printer from the back, unplug the cord from the wall, do a handstand while holding down the power button for 30 seconds, then plug the cord into the back of the printer, plug the cord into a separate wall outlet only to have the printer fire up and continue to think the printer tray is open.  Is this a ploy to get me to buy a new printer or can this error truly be fixed?   I eagerly await a reply.
