Ok...I did it per the Mac video and it continues to fail.

Since this is wireless, let’s turn off the Wired LAN in the printer.  I need to know if this does anything.

  1. Login to your printer from a web browser - 192.168.0.x (Use your Static IP)
  2. Go to the menu item Network at the top.
  3. On the side menu expand WIRED network settings
  4. Click on advanced
  5. Set the Network Interface to off.

Also, you have a Gateway device (modem+router) which are terrible for wireless connectivity.  If this still fails suggest you put that Gateway in full bridge mode (make it a modem only), and buy your own high quality router that you have full control over.

I  turned off the Wired LAN. Brief reprieve, then communication lost. This gateway device is rented through Spectrum.

That is most likely your issue.

Renting from you ISP is money down the tubes.  You can buy your own modem (Spectrum Qualified), and your own router that you control.  Will save you money in the long run.
