My Envy Pro 6452 is showing error code E4. Internet says its a paper jam. I have reset the printer, pulled out every tray and part that comes out. There is no paper pr debris stuck anywhere. When I reset it, it doesnt even try to feed any paper through. not sure what to do.

The E4 error code on your HP ENVY Pro 6452 All-in-One Printer typically indicates a paper jam, but as you've noticed, it can sometimes be a false jam, especially if the printer doesn't even attempt to feed paper.
Here are a few steps to try and fix the issue:
1. Reset the Printer
- With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the back.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
- Turn it on and see if the error clears.
2. Check All Jam Locations
Even if you don’t see paper, check these areas carefully:
- Input tray: Remove all paper and check for small scraps.
- Output tray: Pull it out and inspect underneath.
- Cartridge access area:
- Open the ink access door.
- Wait for the carriage to move.
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Move the carriage manually left and right.
- Look for any debris or stuck paper.
- Paper path cover (behind the cartridge area):
- Pinch the tabs and lift it out.
- Check under the flip gate and around the rollers.
- Bottom cleanout door:
- Turn the printer over.
- Open the cleanout door and check for debris.

If the Printer Doesn’t Attempt to Feed Paper
This could indicate:
- A sensor failure (thinking paper is jammed when it’s not).
- A mechanical issue with the rollers or carriage.
- A firmware glitch.
Try This:
- Press the Cancel button on the printer to attempt to clear the error.
- Update the firmware using the HP Smart app or from the HP ENVY Pro 6452 support page.
