Hi @paul2507, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error codes 0XB94DA7E6 and 0X011A17FF on your HP OfficeJet 4657 printer suggest a firmware or hardware issue. Since your printer is stuck on a light blue screen or showing different errors, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  2. Wait 2-3 minutes.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  4. Plug the power cord back directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  5. Turn the printer on and check if the error persists.

Check for a Corrupt Firmware

If the printer does not start correctly:

  1. Perform a Semi-Full Reset (This will reset settings but may help recover the firmware).
    • Unplug the power cable.
    • Hold # (pound key) + 3 on the printer’s control panel.
    • While holding, plug in the power cord and turn the printer on.
    • Release the buttons when the HP logo or a reset screen appears.
    • If the issue persists, repeat the steps with # + 6 and then # + 9.

Reinstall the Firmware (If Accessible)

If the printer turns on but is stuck in an error state:

  1. Connect the printer via USB to your PC.
  2. Download the latest HP firmware update from HP's official website.
  3. Run the firmware updater and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Wireless Module (DOT11_Private Error)

The DOT11_Private error suggests a Wi-Fi module issue. If the printer turns on but cannot connect to Wi-Fi:

  • Try printing with a USB connection instead of Wi-Fi.
  • Disable wireless connectivity:
    • Open Setup > Network Settings.
    • Disable Wireless (Wi-Fi) and restart the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
